Des Plaines, IL: Geberit North America, a leader in sanitary products, has released a new hands-free version of its Type 50 series of flush plates for in-wall urinal systems. The touchless actuator uses sensors to automatically flush the urinal when the user walks away, reducing contact with surfaces and helping to prevent the spread of bacteria and viruses.
Hands-free Type 50 flush plates have a flush volume of 0.5 GPF (1.9 LPF) and are made from die-cast zinc. The new plates feature four stunning “precious metal” finishes, including Brushed Chrome, Brushed PVD Red Gold, Brushed PVD Black Chrome and Brushed PVD Brass. The same striking metallic finishes are also available on Geberit Sigma21 and Sigma50 flush plates for wall-hung toilets, making design coordination in the bathroom easier than ever before.
“The impact of COVID-19 has made one thing very clear: the future of the bathroom is touchless,” says Ronn Jefferson, Product Manager for Geberit North America. “Our hands-free Type 50 plates, available in four stunning and versatile metallic finishes, prove that technology can improve to meet hygienic needs without sacrificing style or aesthetics.”
