David Weekley Homes Awards Moen with Highest Recognition – Partners of Choice “A,A” Recipient in Faucets, Bath Accessories and Garbage Disposals Categories

This year marks the eighth David Weekley Homes Partners of Choice Award win for Moen, and in 2018 the brand was honored with the “A,A” rating for quality and service across three categories. Only a small amount of the more than 200 suppliers in the David Weekley Homes’ Supplier Evaluation Platform receive a “A,A” rating, and no company has ever received it across multiple categories. Moen was recognized in the faucets, bath accessories and garbage disposals categories for providing world-class customer service and quality products. The award was presented on June 26 at Minute Maid Park in Houston, TX.

“We’re honored to receive David Weekley Homes coveted ‘A,A’ award for outstanding quality and service for the second consecutive year. What makes this award even more special this year is Moen earned it across faucets, accessories and garbage disposal product categories,” said Tim Shearer, Fortune Brands Global Plumbing Group vice president – single family. “Our brand is built on the relentless pursuit of providing our customers exceptional value. This starts with consumer-preferred designs based on market research and data analytics, is supported by knowledgeable and dedicated sales professionals, and finally delivered by world-class operational efficiency. We are grateful that David Weekley Homes has recognized and values what we believe is fundamental to success.”

The award is the conclusion of the homebuilder’s industry leading “Supplier Evaluation Platform” in which nearly 1,000 David Weekley Homes’ team members evaluate their 200 suppliers on quality and service. Each company’s numeric scores are averaged and then analpha ranking – ranging from “A” to “F” – is assigned that relates the score to all national partners. After the comprehensive evaluation, few companies rise to the top with excellent marks. In fact, only 12 percent of scorers rank an “A” and the odds are even less for getting an “A” in both Quality and Service.

“We strongly believe in our ‘Supplier Feedback Platform’ to identify those companies that rise to the challenge of managing the entire supply chain to consistently deliver high quality, cost competitive products, consistently and timely to our company,” said Bill Justus, vice president supply chain services and chief architect of the renowned supplier feedback platform for David Weekley Homes. “Our friends at Moen have demonstrated their world-class performance in not just faucets, but also bath accessories and garbage disposals. In the 15 years we have been conducting this program, this is the first time we have had a partner be recognized as an “A,A Partners of Choice Award Winner” in three separate categories. My hat is off to Kamlin Nedved and the entire Moen Team”.

In order to facilitate complete transparency, David Weekley Homes has designed their action-oriented survey to allow suppliers to review feedback to see where adjustments can be made to better serve partners and the Weekley team. Feedback to the Moen team this year, included:

  • “Superior, quality product and excellent warranty.”
  • “Our Moen representative is very knowledgeable and always helpful when needed.”
  • “Great products, amazing customer service.”
