DSG In La Crosse To Celebrate 150 Years Of Great Customers With Three-Day Celebration And Vintage Artifact Contest

DSG in La Crosse, Wisconsin – a branch that originally opened as W.A. Roosevelt in 1868 and was acquired by DSG in 2012 – is commemorating its 150th anniversary with open house events for manufacturer-partners (Wednesday, July 18), customers (Thursday, July 19) and employee owners (Friday, July 20) during the summer of 2018. These events will celebrate both W. A. Roosevelt’s history and DSG’s future.

Of particular interest are the events on Thursday, July 19, in which current and past customers will be honored with a celebration at the company’s location at 2727 Commerce Street from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Customers will be treated to live music, giveaways and two Mississippi River dinner cruises aboard the La Crosse Queen. Customers will also be given the chance to win a special 150-anniversary-edition Polaris Sportsman four-wheeler with a qualifying purchase (contact DSG for details). In addition, DSG will display vintage W. A. Roosevelt items and pictures from the last 150 years.

To find these historical items, DSG is holding a vintage W.A. Roosevelt artifact contest in which customers can submit photos of historical W. A. Roosevelt items via lax150anniversary.com in order for a chance to win prizes. The contest is on now and runs until July 19, 2018. Those interested can learn more at lax150anniversary.com.

“We may be recognizing 150 years of our company’s history, but this is really a celebration of our customers,” says Todd Eber, Director of Marketing and Analytics at DSG and former president and owner of W. A. Roosevelt. “They made the last century and a half possible for us, and we’re looking forward to showing our appreciation with a celebration in their honor.”

W.A. Roosevelt was originally established by William Albert Roosevelt, a local riverboat captain, La Crosse mayor and cousin of President Teddy Roosevelt. Now a part of the DSG family, it is an employee-owned company. DSG is one of the Midwest’s leading distributors of innovative plumbing, HVAC/R, electrical, utility, communications, waterworks and automation products. It has more than 700 employee owners and 33 locations throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota.
