Marketair Expands Easybend Lineset Bender Line With Longer Lengths & a Larger Diameter Mandrel

Marketair Inc., an Edison, N.J.-based supplier of HVAC/R components and accessories, recently added a new 26-foot-long extended lineset bending kit and a 3/4-inch-diameter mandrel to its easybend product line. Easybend is the HVAC/R industry’s quickest, easiest and most reliable, mandrel-type, soft copper refrigeration lineset bender for the U.S. and Canadian markets.

Like the original 13-foot kit, the new extended 26-foot easybend kit includes mandrels for the four lineset sizes commonly used in ductless and VRF/VRV installations: 1/4-inch (4-mm), 3/8-inch (6-mm), 1/2-inch (9-mm) and 5/8-inch (12-mm) (O.D.). The 26-foot mandrels permit the installer easy passage through walls and around obstacles. The mandrels also enable multiple compound bends without kinking 25-foot linesets.

Another easybend addition is a 3/4-inch-diameter (19-mm) (O.D.) mandrel that’s color-coded white and is available only in a 13-foot (4-m) length. It was developed specifically from contractor requests for a bending mandrel that accommodates larger lineset suction lines commonly used in ducted a/c systems. It’s sold separately from the original easybend mandrel kit.

Conventional pipe benders require pipe insulation removal and replacement. They can handle only one line at a time, don’t easily permit delicate adjustments and are substantially more time-consuming and labor-intensive than easybend.

All solid polyethylene easybend mandrels prevent linesets from collapsing and/or kinking during bending and permits any lineset configuration without insulation removal, replacement and refastening.

Additionally, easybend allows simultaneous bending of both copper lines, resulting in a more expedient, accurate and attractive installation.

Each mandrel is easily extracted and wiped clean before recoiling and storing in its 18-inch-square, transparent, sturdy plastic bag for multiple reuses on future projects.

Marketair now offers new individual easybend mandrels in 13-foot and 26-foot lengths that enable lost or damaged mandrel replacement without purchasing a complete easybend kit.

Available at most HVAC/R wholesale distributors, the easybend kit’s reusable carrying bag includes a cardboard hang-tag for J-hook merchandising or service truck storage.

Primary easybend features include:

  • Prevents kinks that often go unnoticed in concealed walls or under insulation, which can subsequently restrict refrigerant flow or cooling capacity and ultimately develop refrigerant-leaking leaks;
  • Maintains job expediency and system efficiency from insulation cutting, removing, replacement and resealing;
  • Pays back immediately when considering installation time, materials and labor required to repair a kinked lineset;
  • One-year warranty;
  • Suitable for use between 14°F and 113°F (-10° and 45°C).

Easybend was first introduced by Marketair in 2017. The 3/4-inch and 26-foot long versions are only available in the North American market.  For more information on the easybend or other innovative Marketair products, please visit www.marketair.com, call (732) 985-8226 or email info@marketair.com.
