REHAU announces the availability of the new REHAU PlumbingCAD 2018 takeoff software for the REHAU PEXa plumbing system. The CAD-based software, offered through Avenir Software Inc., is pre-loaded with REHAU plumbing system components allowing contractors to quickly generate takeoffs and quotes for commercial and residential projects.

REHAU PlumbingCAD lets users import PDF and AutoCAD® drawings, trace the plumbing system and then generate a REHAU PEXa plumbing system materials list and quotation. Key components in the materials list are RAUPEX® UV shield PEXa pipe and EVERLOC+TM polymer and lead-free brass compression-sleeve fittings in diameters up to 2 inch.

Use of the stand-alone software does not require previous CAD experience. The software generates 3-D views instantly while the user works in 2-D, making it easier to visualize and communicate the plumbing piping layout. Output includes reports and drawings that will provide the contractor with shop drawings and a bill of materials.
